When you visit our town, we recommend visiting these sights:

  • The Historical Center of České Budějovice
    The centre includes the entire Gothic colonial town with its regular layout of streets and ring of fortifications.

  • The Square Named after King Přemysl Ottokar II.
    The lage square is surrounded by arcades and burgheŕs houses. Its paving includes a renowned erring stone. With its beautiful fountain in the middle it is considered one of the most remarkable squares of Europe

  • Town Hall
    Rebuilt into its current Baroque form, the Town Hall boasts a richly decorated front, three spires and a carillon, reception and banquet rooms, a large fresco depicting Solomońs judgement by A.Schöpf and an allegoric tapestry of the town at the confluence of the rivers Vltava and Malše by C.Bouda and M.Hoppe-Teintzerová. Outside you can notice the memorial tablet to the first Czech president T.G. Masaryk and a metal "Viennese ell". Standing at the square´s comer, its monumentality attracts the attention of all visitors.

  • Samson Fountain
    The fountain with the statue of Samson in the centre of the square in one of the biggest baroque fountains.

  • Swimming stadium - cca. 800 m

  • Ice arena - cca. 500 m
